In radically different styles, these presenters explore what it means to govern one’s own thoughts, emotions and body regardless of—or in direct counter to—outside influence. Addressing topics of women’s rights in history or mental, physical and social injustices waged, the featured works are most sublime and incendiary in their use of language and storytelling to open the door for deeper consideration. Ultimately, the beauty and strength in the writing are an embodiment of what it means to be a woman in this world.
