We can all relate to the complications of family dynamics, no matter if we are considering those relationships we inherit or those we adopt. The bonds may be created by the technicalities of blood or marriage, but they also often point to the more subtle bonds of heritage and memory. Through the avenue of fiction, each panelist adeptly navigates his or her characters’ connections to one another and to the notion of “home”—a fluctuating construct of belonging, redemption, love and understanding—always just out of reach, yet filled with possibility.
