Matthew Cordell

Matthew Cordell has written and illustrated many books for children, including his newest beginning reader chapter book series, Cornbread and Poppy. His work has been published throughout the world and has received numerous accolades, including the 2018 Caldecott Medal. Matthew lives in suburban Chicago with his wife, author, Julie Halpern, and their two children.

Lita Judge

Lita Judge is the award-winning author and illustrator of many children’s books, including Even the Smallest Will Grow, When You Need Wings, Flight School, Penguin Flies Home, Red Sled, Red Hat, Good Morning to Me!, Born in the Wild, and her illustrated young adult novel, Mary’s Monster. She lives with her husband, two cats, and a parrot in New Hampshire.

Emmy Kastner

Emmy Kastner is the author-illustrator of the young nonfiction Nerdy Babies series, and cofounder of the youth writing center, Read and Write Kalamazoo. She lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan with her family. 

Pat Zietlow Miller

Pat Zietlow Miller is a children's book lover and one of the creative forces behind the blog β€œPicture Book Builders” where she reviews books for young readers. Her picture books include Be Kind, When You are Brave, Remarkably You, Wherever You Go, Sophie's Squash and The Quickest Kid in Clarksville. Pat lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her husband, two daughters and two pampered cats.

Lindsay Moore

Lindsay Moore is an artist and writer with roots in Northern Michigan. Drawing from a background in marine biology and medical and scientific illustration, she creates books for children where story, science and art intersect. Her recent picture book Yoshi and the Ocean: A Sea Turtle’s Incredible Journey Home, is a true story about a loggerhead sea turtle released off of Cape Town, South Africa. She is also the creator of Sea Bear: A Journey for Survival, the illustrator for A Whale of the Wild, by Rosanne Parry and co-editor of artsciencestory.com, a website that explores science in children's literature.

 

Chad Otis

Chad Otis has a BFA in design from the University of Washington School of Art. He’s been working with the likes of Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney Online for over twenty-five years as an animator, illustrator, and creative director. Chad lives in Boise, Idaho, and is also the illustrator of Cuddle Monkey and author-illustrator of A Little Ferry Tale.

 

Jarrett Pumphrey

Jarrett Pumphrey is an author/illustrator and the former co-founder and CEO of a tech startup. He has served as creative director for multiple technology companies. He lives near Austin, TX.

Jerome Pumphrey

Jerome Pumphrey is an author/illustrator and a graphic designer at The Walt Disney Company. He studied graphic design at the Art Institute of Austin. He lives in Clearwater, Florida.
