Lidey Heuck is a recipe developer, food writer, and author of the nationally best-selling cookbook, Cooking in Real Life. She is a regular contributor to New York Times Cooking and founder of LideyLikes.com, where she shares approachable, crowd-pleasing recipes. Previously, Lidey worked as Ina Garten's assistant for 6 years.  She has been featured in Food & Wine, Real Simple, Apartment Therapy, Goop, and People Magazine. She lives in New York’s Hudson Valley.

I know that for most of us who like to cook, it’s far from the only thing we’re doing each day. I wrote this book as a companion to a full life – to share recipes that will inspire you to cook more, to enjoy the time you spend in the kitchen, and to create memorable meals with your friends and family.
